"I've been working in St. Louis for over 10 years and I wanted to practice in a smaller community where there would be more of a need for my services," states Dr. Nasser. "Crossroads Community Hospital was very kind to help arrange for me to not only practice in Mt. Vernon but also in Pinckneyville. This gives me the opportunity to help serve the multiple rural communities in Southern Illinois where there is a shortage of GI services."
Dr. Naseer completed his residency in Internal Medicine at Brooklyn Jewish Hospital Interfaith Medical School. From there, he completed his fellowship in Gastroenterology at the University of South Carolina School of Medicine. Along with gastroenterology, Dr. Naseer specializes in hepatology, a branch of medicine that incorporates the study of the liver, gallbladder, biliary tree, and pancreas.
Dr. Naseer and his wife have four children who are all in college. In his spare time, Dr. Naseer enjoys spending time reading, traveling, and admiring nature.
